All You Need to Know About Ultherapy

Ultherapy in Dubai is gaining fame as the only skin rejuvenation procedure approved by the FDA. The procedure uses ultrasound imaging that yields effective results. It is a non-invasive face lifting system that is a lot more comfortable than chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, and microdermabrasion.

Ultherapy is used for:

  • Lifting the sagging skin of the neck and under the chin
  • Smoothen the skin in the décolletage area
  • Treat wrinkles near the eyebrows

This procedure can be done anywhere on the face, including the jawline, orbital lines, and nasolabial folds.

Read on below to read all about this skin rejuvenating procedure:

How does Ultherapy Work?

As said earlier, this is the only skin rejuvenating procedure that uses ultrasound imaging. The procedure works from the inside out. It uses ultrasound technology to stimulate and boost the production of new elastin and collagen deep inside the skin. That is what gives the ultimate tightening and lifting effect to the skin.

During this treatment, the Ulthera ultrasound applicator is used on the face. The practitioner gets a peek into the tissue beneath the skin and delivers a low level of heat energy at a precise depth. The dermis produces more collagen, resulting in tighter new skin cells. Unlike any other non-surgical method, Ultherapy goes deep into the skin by 4.5 mm without harming the skin’s surface.

The procedure is not painful. However, the patient may feel a slight tingling during the procedure.

Ultherapy - Results

The new cells replace the old ones just two months after the treatment, making the skin appear newer and youthful. The extra collagen gives the skin a supple and smooth look. The skin tightening process continues for up to six months. Eventually, it results in a natural lift of the facial skin tissues. The results can last up to three years. One to two sessions are required for the best results. To keep up with the aging process, yearly touch-ups are required.

There are no side effects to this treatment as such. The patient may feel mild redness for an hour or so after the procedure. A small percentage of patients experience slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to touch. These are temporary.

Ultherapy - Preparation

You are required to follow a proper plan to get prepared for therapy. You must follow your surgeon’s instructions for the best outcomes. Some of the common instructions you are required to follow are:
